Dr. Olli-Pekka Malinen is a research and the executive vice director at Niilo Mäki Institute which is a multidisciplinary research and development unit in the area of learning disabilities and inclusive education. In addition to his native country Finland, Malinen has lived and conducted academic work in China, the United States and the Netherlands. In his doctoral dissertation that was finalized in 2013 Malinen studied inclusive education from teachers’ perspective in China, Finland and South Africa. His other academic interests include teacher self-efficacy, teacher collaboration, and teacher professional development. Malinen is an author of several high-quality peer-reviewed publications and a frequent instructor of teacher professional development courses.
